🟢 Green Light for Some Families:
“For our family, we believe people should be called by the pronouns they prefer.”
🔴 Red Light for Some Families:
“For our family, we believe people should use pronouns that match whether they are physically a boy or a girl.”
One calm question you might ask is:
“Does using different pronouns seem more like a green, yellow, or red light for our family?”

“We believe…”
Sometimes TALK includes sharing one calm reason why something matters to your family.
For families who may see using different pronouns as a 🟢 green light, they might say:
“We believe people should be free to identify and use the pronouns that feel right to them.”
For families who may see using different pronouns as a 🔴 red light, they might say:
“We believe God created people as male and female.”
One calm question you might ask is:
“Why do you think different families believe different things about being a boy or a girl?

“What are we noticing?”
Sometimes TALK includes hearing about something before it even comes up at home.
You might simply say:
“I heard your school is talking about using pronouns.”
Or:
“Pronouns are words like he, she, or they that people use when talking about themselves or someone else.”
One calm question you might ask is:
“What have you heard kids say about pronouns at school?”
